Summer flowers

These photographs were taken during the first week in
February and except for the snowdrops continue to flower.

is an uncommon woodland plant with green flowers.

A foreign plant probably introduced by the Romans. It can be found growing in hedgerows, flowers throughout the year.
Primrose (Primula vulgaris)
A favourite spring flower and one of the earliest, they usualy flower in March but this year they are early.

Snowdrops.jpg (19669 bytes) Snowdrops(Galanthus nivalis) Usually the first flowers of the year very often appearing through snow. The may grow in large drifts in woodland.
