Yalbury Cottage Hotel and Restaurant
Lower Bockhampton, Dorset.
Seventeenth-century thatched cottage offering excellent food and comfortable accommodation.
It was originally the home ofthe local shepherd and keeper of the water meadows. There are attractive gardens, where teas and pre-dinner drinks are served in the summer. The restaurant - which has two AA rosettes - has an atmosphere enhanced by oak beams and inglenook fireplaces. The spacious cottage-style bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, remote control television sets, hairdryers and tea and coffee-making equipment. Ample parking is provided. Eight rooms. Double room £78 per night, single £51. No smoking in bedrooms.

A very nice country pub nestling in unspoilt hills near Bridport about 15 miles from Dorchester.
Fine food and B&B if required.
Highly recomended for a taste of Dorset as it used to be.

Conveniently situated about 2 miles from Dorchester 50 yards from the main line railway station to London.
Dorchester station is the next down the line so you can stay in the country yet be convenient for town. Good food and B&B, there is a caravan site next door, leave your car and van behind and visit Dorchester by train.
