Street Music

Return to Home Page

This page consists of moving snap shots with sound of street musicians who from time to time entertain the people of Dorchester. In Dorchester we have many, today there was an accordionist but I did not have my camera with me.
There is quite a range of talents from the Russian balalaika to the West Indian steel drum, one man bands and puppet shows.
Some of the files will take a while to download, it will load in short snatches, when this has finished press the play button and it will play properly - it all depends on the speed of your connection, you will need Windows Media Player which can be downloaded free from the internet.
My favourite is the Russian lady who was accompanied by her partner on an accordion. Some of the musicians have a backing on tape playing through an amplifier.
