Places of interest concerning TE Lawrence

1. Clouds Hill: T E Lawrence's home from 1923 to 1935. Now managed by the National Trust and open 3 April to 31 October, Sun., Wed., Thurs., Fri., 12 noon - 5 pm and Bank Holiday Mondays, 12 noon - 5pm.

2. St. Nicholas' Church, Moreton: The site of T E Lawrence's funeral, 21 May 1935. He was buried in the graveyard which is a short walk from the church. Church and graveyard are open daily, though the church may be closed to the public for special events

3. Bovington Camp, Wool: T E Lawrence was stationed here when he was a recruit in the Royal Tank Corps. The Tank Museum has a Lawrence collection, but due to alterations, access may be limited so call ahead. The Tank Museum is open daily, 10am - 4.30pm, telephone 01929 405105.

4. St. Martin's Church, Wareham: A Saxon church containing the life-size stone effigy of T E Lawrence carved by Erie Kennington. Usually open daily, 10am - 5pm, except Sundays when there are services. In case of difficulties, telephone the Church Warden for access, 01929 552903.

5. The Wareham Museum in East Street has a T E Lawrence display. Open from Easter to 31 October, Monday to Saturday, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4.30pm, telephone 01929 553448.

6. The Wareham Library on South Street has a study centre dedicated to T E Lawrence. Telephone 01929 556146.
